Christian Schmidt
geboren in Göttingen, lebt und arbeitet in Esslingen.

Seit über 15 Jahren ist Christian Schmidt als freischaffender  Fotograf tätig. Er  entwickelte eine Bildsprache, die sowohl in der angewandten als auch in der künstlerischen Fotografie geschätzt wird. Agenturen, Unternehmen und Kunstsammler vertrauen national wie international auf seine Bildwelten.

Zentrales Thema seines Schaffens ist das Spannungsfeld zwischen Nähe und Distanz,  Dimension und Detail, dem Vergangenen und dem Realen – emotionale Zustände, die sich wie ein Leitmotiv durch seine Werke ziehen.  Besonders in seinen Landschaftsaufnahmen entfalten sie ihre Wirkung. Der Mensch im Verhältnis zu seiner Umgebung.

Seine Bilder sind reduziert und klar, gleichzeitig poetisch und atmosphärisch verdichtet. Eine visuelle Sprache, die Raum lässt – für Stille, für Tiefe, für das Wesentliche.
